I can't explain how enchanting this elopement was.. The calmness, beautiful and varied landscapes made this elopement shoot an absolute dream. I'm very thankful to Sue and David , they totally committed! We were also very lucky with the weather, it rained the night before, but during our shoot it was dry with an amazing dramatic sky.
We went to three different places. We started in Glen Lochan, a place with a magical woodland and lake. For elopements in Scotland, I strongly recommend wearing good (hiking) shoes, as you'll be walking up and down, sometimes on rough roads and places. Also, don't forget the ground can be very muddy if it rained. As for parking, Glen Lochan has a big and free parking lot. At Glen Etive you'll have to park your car beside the road as for Glen Coe valley.
One of my personal favourite places to do photo shoots, are forests and woodland. It just gives this mystical ambiance.
Maybe it sounds familiar, as a part of the James Bond movie Skyfall was filmed here. It's gorgeous rocky landscape with waterfalls make this location a true eye catcher.
The silk bouquet was made by By Rose Flowers, this was absolutely ideal. When you're working with a silk bouquet, you don't have to worry about disturbing the local ecosystem, you can easily put them in a suitcase, and when you bought the bouquet (hiring is also possible) you'll have a wonderful keepsake of your elopement and give it a nice place in your home. The beautiful rings are from Rozenhof Trouwringen, they have a wide assortment of all kinds of styles. "Sing me a song..." Can't miss the mesmerizing valley of Glen Coe. This totally gave me Outlander vibes, especially in combination with David's outfit. Honestly, how lovely are these two?!
We found another gorgeous spot when we drove from Glen Lochan to Glen Etive. There was a parking lot and the view was amazing. Enjoy!
